Great product for dispersed teams looking to brainstorm in one place
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
My team uses Miro to conduct project kickoffs, run min brainstorming sessions, run retros, and pretty much anything that would require an whiteboard if we were all in person. Although recently we were in person together and still used Miro because of its ability to retain information for viewing after the fact. No more taking awkward cell phone pics of whiteboards and ideation pin ups!
Pros
- Displays ideas
- Allows for the quick grouping of ideas
- Retains information that can be viewed months after the creation.
Cons
- The sizing can be really funky - like 125 pt font
- It is the tool that we use as an incubator team at Indeed to kick start every project we work on. If we didn’t have this method of remote collaboration, it would be challenging and slower to reproduce using other cloud tools.
Collaboration on new projects is the primary use case my team utilizes Miro for at Indeed (Incubator team). We conduct anywhere from 2 - 4 hour sessions. Longer sessions are often split across more than one day. Typically we start off with an ice breaker. I love utilizing Miro’s templates for these or at least getting ideas. Then we move into an understanding the problem phase. After that we start of eating as a team. This takes various shapes depending on problem, scope, and timeline.
