Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro for collaboration amongst remote teams. Working remotely we use the tool to plan resourcing, timelines and also to brainstorm ideas. We also utilise the tool as a 'central source of truth' that everyone can access to view the current status of projects and their associated risks. Miro is the closest replacement to a in-person whiteboard session.
  • Team sharing and broad access for the teams
  • Flow chart and diagrams
  • Kanban and project planning
  • Licensing - sometimes access can be hard
  • Sharing a PDF printout for offline use
  • Being able to take a whiteboard image and turn into a Miro board
  • Greater alignment
  • Faster brainstorming
  • Greater collaboration
It's easier to share ideas now, especially for those people who have typically been quieter in remote brainstorming sessions. The platform makes collaboration more inclusive for everywhere regardless of location or cultural background.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro has better licensing arrangement including sharing with those who do not have an account or license. The user interface of Miro is also a lot cleaner than MURAL.
Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Microsoft Office 2016 (discontinued)
We find that Miro is best suited for virtual brainstorming, especially the templates that allow us to frame the problem, the solution and identify any potential risks. There is a feature to set a countdown timer (with music) which makes the silence of brainstorming a little less awkward especially over Zoom. Another area which is helpful is in creating workflows that can be easily edited. The follow-me feature is also great so that the presenter does not have to share screen over Zoom/Teams while they are sharing.
