Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro as a collaboration tool that helps us with the following: Software architecture design meetings. Retrospectives and scrum related. Infrastructure diagrams.

Pros

  • Collaboration
  • Linking elements
  • voting feature
  • arrange of elements
  • useful templates

Cons

  • Sometimes it is slow if there is lots of elements or people connected.
  • If someone has an element selected, another person cannot copy the text inside. Especially painful when there is a link that people want to check
  • I have not checked if it exists, but being able to do something secretly and reveal it afterward when complete would be nice.
  • Animations? Similar to Power Point transitions.
  • In software development, the design phase is of utmost importance. Being able to diagram nicely logic flows and architectures increases understanding, and focus and improve development/implementation speed.
Greatly. Also, as material to come back later on if the discussion arises again.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

We have used teams whiteboard and also Excel draw. Miro's easy of use is better. Excel draw has a nice way of coloring diagram elements, though.
Any software design meeting or scrum related are ideal. More documentation related scenarios are still a no go. Like a presentation or software documentation.
