Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Product planning timelines - putting high-level key milestones for product development on a timeline. Workstream planning - again, timeline planning, but at a lower level between milestones. This would typically include the "why" and "how to get there" for each person working on the product. Brainstorming - this is better done over Zoom/Teams. Typically the person leading the meeting would present the key issue, then everyone would take 5-10 mins of brainstorming and add their ideas directly to Miro. Then we would come back as a group in the Zoom meeting and organize the Miro board to find a solution to the initial problem.
  • Flexibility - it allows multiple users to edit and control a single board and add detail in a way they want to.
  • Timelines - nice and easy to put a timeline down on the board in a digestible format.
  • Brainstorming - this ties in with flexibility, but having multiple people edit and control aboard means it is very easy to brainstorm with people and get ideas on "paper"!
  • Auto Gantt charts - this would allow timelines to be made easier and faster, specifically having the boxes of tasks automatically nest like a Gantt chart.
  • Default templates - I am unaware these exist, but having templates for specific tasks (e.g., timelines, brainstorming, diagrams) would allow the user to get started quicker.
  • Improve connectivity to Jira.
  • Improved productivity/collaboration.
  • Faster workstreams.
  • One source of truth.
Skip - I did not integrate Miro with other products.
It allows everyone to contribute in their own time or in collaboration over a zoom call. It allows people to brainstorm projects over zoom easily, with everyone editing simultaneously. It also adds fun to brainstorming meetings, as people can be creative about how they want to present their ideas!

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro has more flexibility which is great for brainstorming. When it comes to actually put a fixed timeline and plan in place at a lower level (at the individual level), Smartsheets is better and more constrained. Smartsheets is also more suited to bigger teams, whilst Miro can be "messy" when a lot of people are adding to one page.
Well suited to brainstorming and high-level timeline planning for small to medium teams, especially in the name of collaboration. Less suited to low-level planning/recreating Gantt charts, and there are tools I think are better suited for this, e.g., smart sheets.
