Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is used whenever we need to organize and share information in a collaborative way. It's used in retrospective meetings and planning, it's used to break down Epics into smaller pieces of work, and it's used in other ways, either individually or collectively. I like to break down a big piece of software work into smaller pieces visually using Miro.

  • Ability to in real time to change the boards.
  • Integration to other software like Jira.
  • Integrated voting with timers and music while you wait!

  • Sometimes the voting system fails; everyone votes, but it says we didn't, or we miss the call to the voting session but can't join.
  • The board can be so vast that it is easy to get lost in where you are and where is the rest of the boards.
  • For a newcomer it can be hard to start creating effective boards; some templates for specific areas would be welcome.
  • Improved productivity when the transition to full remote was made.
I only have Jira integration, and it was pretty easy to set up, we can have Jira tickets directly on boards we can estimate points and have it update Jira directly.
It's a lot easier to have only one tool that we all use across teams. Boards are created on demand and some are re-used and others are just like a room whiteboard to hash out ideas.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Working remotely is a great place to have your scrum boards, like the retrospective board, where everyone can assign post-its, and timely discussion can be had about them. It's also a great place to create a macro timeline using Jira tickets of the work ahead and what can be moved and shifted in each release.
