Miro is a game changer for me and my team.
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
Miro has multiple applications in our company. The typical use cases I've encountered are: - related to the online collaboration: workshops, training, quick brainstorming sessions, quick voting sessions (even as the "live" discussion visualization tool), - related to the IT teams collaboration: a tool to facilitate dailies, weeklies, status updates, organize agile teams collaboration pretty much, - additionally, I use it as a private notebook.
Pros
- supports online meeting facilitation.
- supports collaboration online.
- supports visualizations of the ideas.
- supports brainstorming sessions.
Cons
- Navigation between the teams and projects.
- I found it complicated to make sure that my board is shared with the right audience, mostly due to the fact that you need to consider both board-sharing settings and project/team-sharing settings.
- I can't duplicate the board to another project. Sometimes that would be very helpful.
- There is no easy, quick "onboarding" option that I could share with people who use the Miro for the first time.
- Improved productivity.
- Improved efficiency & effectiveness.
- Improved team collaboration.
- Improved communication.
- Improved time efficiency.
Our organization is global. Therefore, most of us (white-collar workers) collaborate in geographically spread teams. Before the pandemic, creating occasions to allow such geo-distributed teams' effective collaboration usually was very costly (traveling costs, organization efforts). Currently, even though we are again allowed to travel, it is more time, money, and output/outcome-efficient to collaborate online, thanks to Miro. Looking at my own experience, Miro definitely excelled and improved the collaboration making it more smooth, efficient, clear, time-controlled, organized, etc.
