Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro has become a very important tool for my daily work since the beginning of the pandemic. We use Miro for collaboration on literally anything. The main use case for me is, however, working on innovation projects in early phases: structuring research, ideating with the team, and presenting results to stakeholders. We also use Miro for some organized topics, like team meetings, etc.
  • Design Thinking Sprints: creating innovative ideas in a team in a structured creative process.
  • Project work: daily project work on innovation projects in early phases.
  • Collecting & sharing team organizational information.
  • Sometimes miro gets really slow, especially if I have uploaded some pdf files. Maybe it is possible to reduce the size of the uploaded pdf.
  • A delayed voting function would be great.
  • Sometimes our boards get really huge and difficult to navigate. Some smart possibility to structure them better would be nice.
  • For surely improved productivity: I don't have to clean and document Post-it walls anymore.
  • Flexibility: we can work on a project from anywhere. It saves a lot of time because not everyone has to be in the office.
  • I save a lot of time because I can present work in progress on Miro and don't have to create PowerPoints each time I need to share my project progress.
I haven't integrated Miro with any other products.
It was life-changing to have Miro during the pandemic. I cannot imagine our work without it. Now with Miro, we don't have to be in the same location to work together on a project. Business travel also reduced because of the new remote working options, and Miro has definitely contributed a lot to that.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

MURAL was quite comparable, and I actually liked the handling more (back in 2020), but it was nothing crucial, I just got used to it more. However, our IT is selecting Miro, and I am very happy with it. OneNote didn't work at all as a collaboration tool because it misses the flexibility of Miro or MURAL, and the possibilities are just not comparable.
It is perfectly suited for any type of visual collaboration, like brainstorming, collecting opinions, etc. I cannot imagine having a Design Thinking sprint remotely without Miro; it just wouldn't work. It is not suitable for collaboration on common documents or for anonymous contributions. We also don't upload confidential info to Miro.

Using Miro

Some things require googling, but overall usability is fine. I suspect there are a lot of useful to0ls I never use, because I haven't discovered them yet.
When I returned after a year of leave, I needed some time to get to used to Miro again, because some basic navigation functionality has changed.
