Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro for designing conversation flows for the company's chatbots.

Pros

  • The elements or tools I use most often, are easily accessible.
  • Navigating through and zooming in and out in a big board/map is a breeze.
  • The use of comments has been really convenient. Overall, Miro is great for collaboration.
  • Great flexibility of designing options. You can take it any way you want.

Cons

  • Floating (contextual) menus are often on top of the content you want to edit, (partially) hiding that content.
  • Sometimes the lines that aid with the alignment of elements don't appear. They don't seem to be applied consistently.
  • A user with "Viewing" rights is not allowed to copy content from a map, which is annoying if you don't want to give them editing rights. The best solution, then, is to duplicate the map.
  • Bug: I've had to clear my browser cache to be able to load a map again.
  • Bug: often, I see another user's avatar/icon in the upper right corner blinking/flashing, like they're constantly going in and out of the map.
  • It definitely reduced project completion time. I don't know how else we could've done it in the time we have.
  • Improved productivity for sure.
  • Quick return on costs.
The collaboration features of Miro have helped greatly, especially when working remotely. The possibility of working together on the same board and using comments (instead of having to use tools outside of Miro) has been of incredible value to my collaborators and me.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

My experience is limited to the design of conversation flows. Yet, I see endless possibilities in other fields, especially because of the combination of the designing tools and the great collaboration features. Mapping brainstorming sessions, for instance, would work great in Miro. For translation agencies, however, Miro is not an ideal solution. And I didn't find an appropriate app that could help them out.
