Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro for collaboration in brainstorming, prioritizing, and planning the work that needs to be done by different teams. Once done, we migrate all cards created to Jira using the Jira cards plugin. For purposes of planning the program increment, this allows multiple teams to be able to plan together. We also visualize the flow of the sessions, including the agenda itself on Miro.
  • Collaborative whiteboarding.
  • Unrestricted canvas.
  • Plugin to Jira.
  • Privacy mode to allow participate to create cards that are hidden by facilitator.
  • Polls or voting that is simplified.
  • Allow the facilitator to separate background/structure items (that cannot be moved) from other items that everyone can interact with (that can move), thus preventing error movements in boards.
  • Alignment
  • Quicker brainstorming.
  • Visualisation
Miro has impacted my organization hugely over the last two years. With the pandemic, we were forced to move all sessions to be virtual over Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Our program increment planning sessions were simplified with the use of Miro. This allowed teams to visualize the work and to collaborate on their plans.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

My experience with Miro is that it tops the list of collaborative tools that are currently available out there. A few improvements based on the feedback of customers will make it the best. With the world moving to more virtual working environments, this has helped bridge a lot of conversations.
