Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I use miro as a whiteboard for both individual ideation and group sessions. It is a great tool for collaborative remote ideation sessions. The new features that keep being added like grouping sticky notes are really helpful especially when you need to transcribe a huge amount of comments and feedback. Miro is great for collecting feedback on prototypes and even used to design actual final deliverables/artifacts.
Pros
- Place to capture notes, comments, feedback especially for virtual sessions.
- Easy to use , no or minimal training required if a person is familiar with digital tools.
- Easy to share with others , no need to register to view work.
Cons
- Synthesizing notes from sessions - now takes a lot of work to transcribe.
- Some visual design restrictions - not a great place to make high fidelity prototypes.
- Positive - enable remote collaboration sessions - save time on travel.
- Negative - every project has 25 miro boards, and sometimes you spend 20 minutes just trying to find the right board and then another 10 to find information on this board.
It is one of the biggest value propositions, and I think it delivered really well on it. The new features that are being added iteratively also have been great. Anything from timer, ability to bring people to you, ability to "close" some board for viewers, etc.
