Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We are using Miro for multiple purposes:
Agile Meetings which require collaboration like retrospectives. Here we use different sheets where we can work together one, use the timer and voting functionality etc. It's also very easy to sort the notes of each user.

Also interactive meetings benefit from Miro: We do brainstormings on technical ideas, votings, etc.

Besides the interactive usage in meetings, we use Miro also for modelling architectures or designs and share them within our team.

Pros

  • Scalable board: Possible to add more and more frames and move between them
  • Extra functionalities like timer, voting
  • Moving items
  • Showing where people are working

Cons

  • Scrolling / zooming is not intuitive. I always accidentally zoom instead of scroll
  • Improved productivity
  • Remote meetings are more active
  • Especially interactive meetings are much easier with Miro and you always have documentation after the meeting
Miro impacted especially this case really much. We work mostly remote and have lots of meetings where we need to collaborate, e.g. typical agile meetings like retrospectives or also technical discussions and brainstormings. For the latter, it helps to gather different ideas, vote on them, to draw designs etc. Also, you always have a documentation after the meeting and know where to look up the results / illustrate new ideas for the next meeting.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro can be a little tricky /unintuitive when you use it for the first time but it happens really fast that you get used to it and benefit from all it's features. I really like it for collabortation with others in meeting - e.g. for retrospectives, brainstorming, technical design sessions. The different possibilities to draw with shapes, to add sticky notes, to vote, to timebox etc. make it a perfect tool for remote meetings.
With good preparation, remote meetings are no longer boring or with not that much active attendees, because Miro really helps to get everyone to participate actively and add his/hers ideas etc.
