Overall Satisfaction with Miro

In my organization, Miro has been used to collaborate on a variety of ideas and structures for new websites, collateral planning, organizational changes, branding exercises, and more.

Miro's best quality is the easy-to-use interface - most other tools I've used have issues with seamless collaboration. Miro solves this through a simple drag-and-drop UI and that has helped many of my colleagues as well as myself coordinate quickly and pull together small and large ideas that ranged from standard marketing initiatives to entire rebranding exercises.

Pros

  • Miro provides a user-friendly UI with lots of options to customize and format your board based on use case and needs.
  • Miro makes it easy for collaborators to share a workspace while not getting in each other's way.
  • Miro's structure offers the ability to create several boards at once and makes it easy to add or remove items and make adjustments on the fly.

Cons

  • I would like to see Miro expand to include some more templates for boards that would expand the use cases beyond what's currently available. At times, my team struggled to effectively review and collaborate on more document-focused items.
  • While a strength of the platform is its simplicity, having more robust controls over the editing tools would help to create more professional and customized boards.
  • It's a minor thing - but it would be nice to have a feature that shows an overview image of the entire micro board you are working on in the corner of the screen. Occasionally, I would make edits or comments zoomed in close and after zooming out it would be hard to pinpoint where I left certain notes.
  • Improved collaboration
  • Reduced project completion time
  • Expanded creativity
Our team is split across the globe. We work on nearly every timezone and continent. And while our web team worked in one part of the world, our delivery team worked in another, and marketing in another. This led to long churn and slow turnaround time. With Miro, we were able to institute ideas in rhythm and didn't look back.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

I think that Miro offers a more inviting UI and has enough comprehensive features and functionality while maintaining simple-to-use controls to give it the edge over other tools.
As of now, I feel that Miro is suited very well to creating website pages or branding exercises in which the goal is to create unified look and feel. Miro is excellent for placing items side-by-side and making fine-tune adjustments that keep things consistent.

I found it slightly less appropriate for documents and making more content-focused changes - the visual elements are still useful, but having more functionality towards documents would be nice.
