Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro was an invaluable component to our ability to work remotely and has remained a key process management tool. We have mapped our key quarterly processes, listed our calendar items, and tracked project progress in Miro. It is a great way for multiple members of the team, and leadership, to see the current status and check on to-do lists without having to ask. It is also a handy way to leave notes for yourself, for the next time through a process.

Pros

  • To do lists
  • Project tracking by steps, across multiple entities
  • Entity Org. Chart

Cons

  • Cards could be actively linked (a duplicated card that updates both copies when changes are made)
  • Linked cards could have a "jump to" feature, or a temporary link line visual.
  • Flow chart effects (Dashboard style) for when tasks are completed in a linked Kanban chart. (or just a dashboard linked to a, or multiple, Kanbans.)
  • auto-email notifications for completing tasks (typically how I use a Kanban)
  • Improved project status visibility for managers
  • Improved project quality through use of "how-to" notes
It allows us to get new participants up to speed quickly by showing the big picture of the project. Being able to quickly see the scope and status of projects helps manage expectations.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro excels at being a shared whiteboard, so much so that it became our task progress tracker. We've set up tracker for our routine projects and reuse it every quarter. Being able to leave notes for ourselves and teammates makes this a knowledge base for future employees as well.
To-do lists is an obvious use, but being able to retain old items (as opposed to erasing on a physical whiteboard) has come in handy a few times when wanting to review old results (if you left yourself a good note) and/or confirm that a task was already completed.
