Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro as a collaborative tool for design prototyping, ideation and in support of workshop when working remotely.
Design prototyping allows creation of boards with UI components (imported from design applications like Sketch/Figma), for sharing, commenting and review with stakeholders.
Ideation allows multiple contributors to interact with ideas, notes, sketches etc. on a shared board, for example to formulate ideas for service propositions.
For workshops Miro allows us to create structured workflows in advance, which participants follow during an online workshop.

Pros
- Importing Web content with the links included for sharing articles on boards
- Templates, such as mind maps (but I haven't tried many yet)
- Facilitation features e.g. 'bring everyone to host', timer, etc.
Cons
- Permissions management (access to boards) is generally confusing and restrictive.
- When you set a password access to a board, as administrator you can't subsequently view the password once its set, so have to make a note if you want to share it later.
- We haven't done an ROI assessment yet. Anecdotally it has improved design process and facilitated remote collaboration and probably improved productivity.
As mentioned already, it has helped with collaboration. However Miro adoption has been by the design community, it has not been deployed globally at the enterprise level. Therefore successful collaborations have tended to be projects with an important design element or limited to the design (UI and UX) aspects of the project.
