Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We work in product development in the digital marketplaces area. And use miro for a lot of typical use cases for digital product development, such as whiteboarding, ideation, planing, process visualization, workshop and documentation, etc. It's used by a diverse group of roles too. As a product designer, I use it quite extensively as both a communication, collaboration and whiteboarding tool with internal and external stakeholders.
Pros
- co-creation workshop
- process mapping/visualization
- Documentations
Cons
- A stronger and more flexible card component which allows resizing, adding details like tags, owners, etc.
- Themed template for workshops. More in terms of creative ways of visuals to make the workshop fun and engaging. And the users can add the workshop content themselves.
- Option to make the post it anonymous. Now you can always see the owner of the post it, which is not ideal for use cases like retro or anonymous feedback
- increased team engagement by having everyone involved in workshops and give inputs.
- Reduced effort of documenting as if the discussion were in Miro, it's naturally documented. Just need some cleaning up.
Whiteboard feature;
Collaboration feature;
Set a timer;
Smart and useful toolings like post it stacks, emoji reaction, stickers, interactive stickers;
Template;
integration with external system (this one is useful, but the authorization and login part feels a bit repetitive, it feels like i need to do that everytime, not sure about it though. )

- FigJam and Excalidraw+
We would a central whiteboarding collaboration tools to streamline the process and cost. And miro is more suitable for different users and use cases inside the organization and the majority of us already have license to miro and there's a solid foundation of user adoption already. So it's the most suitable tool for us at a larger scale.
