Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

  • Much easier collaboration within the team
  • Easy way to open a project to clients and partners
  • Time saving through automations and reminders.
We use/used [monday.com] for the entire project management of all three companies.
This includes sprints, general information for all users, holiday planning, as well as interchange with clients and project partners.
We also use automations, integrations and individual dashboards.

At the beginning we used a lot of templates that [monday.com] provided.
We soon changed to design our boards from scratch as this helped us in the process of having something that fits our processes.

The major impact [monday.com] had for us was to easily cooperate with all employees - even and especially if they are not sitting in our head-office - so, about 50% of our team. The automations help to safe a lot of time and provide reminders for tasks. So, once you set them, you can forget them :)

  • Automations for tasks
  • Individual design of boards. This helps to easier fit them to the company structure
  • Filter function for dashboards to build one that suites you perfectly
  • Very good visual layout. This helps to see things with one glance
  • Native integration with other software
  • It is limited on a vertical level. We would have needed to dive deeper on certain issues
  • Milestones in it's typical way are missing
  • There is no easy possibility to have task templates that can be linked with one clock to other projects or milestones
  • There is no backlog
The integration and interface is good, however not perfect.
This was the reason for us to look for other tools.
The major problem being that the given structure is too "loose" and at the same time does not always give enough vertical possibilities.
[monday.com] worked extremely reliable.
The customer service is awesome and very quick.
For is this meant that we never had any lost time or delays in case we needed something to be clarified by Monday.

[monday.com] is well suited if you need simple integrations/automations and you don't have very complex projects.

We miss milestones and a real native integrations of important tools such as Google Drive.
As we work a lot with scrum we miss a native possibility to have a backlog.
(Yes, once can build almost anything on Monday, i.e. find a way around, however, this is not the perfect workflow.)
