Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

  • Rapid and easy employee adoption.
  • Overall very positive ROI - we couldn't run our production operation without it now.
  • The company now depends on the Monday platform being available. It has almost always been available, but its loss (even for a few hours) is now a risk factor in our organisation.
Monday is being used to manage and monitor the production process, which is a single department within the organisation. We used Excel to manage production prior to this, and found that only 1 person could access the data at a time, and it was prone to human error because it really wasn't the right platform to capture production status of each job.
  • Highly visible and easily understandable views which bring meaning and clarity.
  • Highly configurable architecture which means that most thing that need managing can be captured within the platform.
  • No programming experience is needed.
  • The API provides a superb method for integrating business systems with the standard platform.
  • The automations provide a great first level of configurable control.
  • The Monday developers tend to make changes without telling their customers. So, for example, the Person column was recently deprecated and this proved challenging when we had already invested a lot of time in building a business interface to a board with this control on it. We had to reengineer our software just to address this change.
  • Monday tech support used to be really fast and high quality. It's got a lot slower over the last couple of years.
I've watched non-software personnel pick up and run with Monday, generating their own ideas for how and where to use it. This is impressive. This is essentially software development for non-software people.
I've been impressed by the human contact I experience from Monday support personnel. On the whole, the support desk is effective - I've generally received the answer that I needed at the right time. However, in recent months I've found things have started to slip a bit. Whereas I used to receive a reply in 5 mins, now it can take a day to get a (standard) response.
Monday is "up" for almost all of the time. We have experienced downtime, but it's rare and it doesn't last long.

We have grown to trust this platform such that it's now an integral part of our production process. We really couldn't manage our production schedule without it.

Monday is great for displaying information that can be represented in rows and columns. Until recently it wasn't great with data contained in several tables with different column types (but that's now been addressed with "sub-items") or dependent data such as in Gantt charts (but that's also been recently addressed).
Boards with a few tens of pulses work really well. Monday is less good at handling boards with hundreds or thousands of pulses. Things can get a bit slow under those circumstances.
