Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

  • To be honest, I'm not sure I've used it enough to provide valid feedback with respect to this question yet. However...
  • I can see where it will help prevent missed objectives.
  • I can see where it will help us keep things moving in order.
We chose Monday as a tool to use in managing the visibility of our projects for others across the company, and also as a way to keep projects better organized within our own department. Most of our projects are industrial equipment or process modification related and more technical in nature (i.e., not marketing style).
  • I like the ease of web based access and its ability to interface with other pieces of software.
  • Allow outside contractors a controlled method to interface with their parts of the projects.
  • Mobility features are available and we are not tied to a pc.
  • While monday.com is easy to use, I haven't found a lot of instruction that is oriented toward our type of usage, which has hindered getting up to speed on with it. This would be industrial type maintenance projects, with many end users being maintenance type technicians.
  • Work on adding features that are more geared toward skilled trade oriented individuals as users.
  • Add an option to have an optional email tied to each user, this would be huge!!!
This is one of the reasons we chose Monday, because of the templates and visible nature of the software/product. However, I only gave it a 6 because I still feel like there needs to be some specific examples related to our specific type of usage (skilled trade/industrial installation or modifications type projects). There also needs to be specific training for these style end users.
I haven't had any issues so far with this are, but a couple of users have told me they did not get answers to submitted questions for help.
So far this seems great. It is always there and ready when needed! However, in our world and level of technology today, this is my expectation for most programs.

Do you think monday.com delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with monday.com's feature set?

Yes

Did monday.com live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of monday.com go as expected?

No

Would you buy monday.com again?

Yes

Keep in mind I have not used it very extensively yet, but so far it seems very well suited to marketing, people communications, etc. portions of projects, but not toward "hard industrial" projects where users are doing hands on installation work at ground level. This may be due to my lack of use and perception at this point, but so far it is my perception. Recent addition of the Gantt chart feature is welcomed!

monday.com & Collaboration

My department has not delved into this functionality very far yet, but this was one of the primary reasons we began looking for project management style software such as Monday, as why we ultimately chose Monday. However, I do know that other department are successfully using it to do this and very happy with the results.
6 so far.
As I've mentioned, my reason may be highly related to my level of usage and familiarity with the software so far. My impression is as I've said 2 fold:
  1. It is very capable and we made the right choice when looking at balancing all the requirements of what was needed.
  2. I am accustomed to using software that is written by people whose job happens mainly outside of the office from a contextual standpoint, and superficially so far I think it may need some focus here. I.e., like a couple developers need to spend some time tagging along with a real world ground level user.

monday.com Training

  • Online training
  • no training
In reality the training seems well done, highly energized and great overall, just not for my style of usage.
Somewhat. I wish I had someone who does what I do walk me through the software.
