Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

  • Consolidating projects and communications all within one place (per project) has saved tremendous amount of time, and cut down on a lot of redundant busy work, emails, etc.
  • Having the ability to log and archive projects so they are quickly and easily retrievable has saved hours and prevented work from being done more than once.
  • Building a project request form/board makes it easy to work clients and get the info needed to complete the project without back and forth emails asking for clarification.
  • The only negative I can think of is the challenge of getting people to agree on how a board should be used. The flexibility is a double-edged sword.
We use monday.com to outline, manage and track various advertising projects across our advertising department. It allows us to stay on top of photography, imaging and design projects, and consolidate the info and communications. We can keep track of who worked on the projects, status updates, timelines, and much more. Monday also allows us to record productivity metrics and output monthly reports.

Monday is easy to use once you've spent enough time in it, and watched some webinars showing you what it's capable of. It's very easy to customize a board and workflows for small teams. The challenge comes in building a board for a lot of people and getting everyone onboard with how is should be set up.
Customer support has always provided answers to my questions in a timely manner. I've even suggested several features and have seen them implemented within the interface, so I know they are listening to their customers and their needs.
Overall performance is usually very good. There are, however, times where automations stop working for a period of time, and have to be deleted and rewritten. Sometimes updates don't happen in real time and the browser needs to be refreshed. And occasionally, an upload fails or the board takes longer than usual to redraw images or uploaded excel or pdf documents.

Monday is well suited for project management and consolidating communications related to a specific project. All data can be collated within a single project, and updates and communications can then remain within that project, making it easy to track and return to at a later date. There are an almost infinite number of ways to customize a project board and create easy to follow workflows for your team, including automations to help streamline repetitive tasks.

Monday offers the ability to upload images, but not much in the way of organizing those images or tagging them with metadata, etc. It would be great if they offered a way to mark up the images as well, so as to provide more collaborative workflow without needing to use separate apps like Photoshop or Acrobat.
