Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

  • Time saved in updating activities.
  • Shorter more efficient team meetings.
  • Better collaboration leading to better overall development.
We started using Monday as a means to allow easier and more transparent collaboration and management of projects, getting rid of the dreaded Excel sheets used before. First introduced for use in a single R&D department it is now in use for multiple departments across a wide variety of applications. Now during the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns monday.com has been a great addition to the work-from-home toolkit. And with the great support from the monday.com team we have been able to make this a success.

We are using the software to manage projects, team activities, programs, but also the Friday drinks planning and the birthday calendar.
  • Supporting cross functional collaboration.
  • Transparent project/program management.
  • Easy status logging and history.
  • Further improvements on Gantt functionality.
  • Easier connections to enterprise share-point environments.
Super easy to use, I've seen team members of different walks of life with different levels of computer savvy adopt and use Monday with ease. The fact that you can start small and easily adjust and expand makes it great for people first managing a project/program/team/... to experienced managers.
Only needed support a few times and always had a quick good solution, if things where more difficult a short call would almost always do the trick. Very professional and very much customer and solution focused.
Never experienced monday.com not being available. A couple years ago monday.com had some performance issues that lasted a week or two, since then the performance has been great.

monday.com & Collaboration

monday.com allows teams from across the world, from different departments to have access to the same key information on activities. It makes it easy to exchange activity status allowing teams to pick up and finish activities without the need for lengthy calls, meetings, and hand-overs.

As the information on activity updates is kept in one place it's easy to find back the history without having to dig through mail/Slack/Teams, etc.

Monday is great for managing a project team, it's easy to set up an activity, decision, risk log and more, and I would easily give Monday a 10 in this regard. To properly manage stakeholders and (upper) management certain breakdowns could be improved as well as some of the Gantt functionality, leading to an overall 8.

Evaluating monday.com and Competitors

Yes - Mostly Excel based planning as well as MS projects.

  • Product Usability
Rolling out any software across an organization is a big ask, as we needed to hit the ground running we needed software that was easy to use. We needed something that was able to manage the data and overviews we needed without having a steep learning curve. Monday fit that bill better than other software out there as it does not drown the user in settings and options, nor does it require a lengthy onboarding/implementation process.
The end evaluation would be the same, but the process could have been shorter if we had requested demo's sooner.
