Overall Satisfaction with monday.com
- It reduces time for keeping everything on a log
- It is also very easy to notify team members when there is a change
- It is super easy/intuitive to set up a board, no training needed
We started using Monday.com within our department amongst the different teams we have. Shortly after, we communicate with our IT department and then implemented Monday.com for the whole organization.
- We would like to keep track on which team member is working on which specific tasks
- We also need to list on the plannings on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis
- We also need to inform team members on the progress/deadline of our projects
- You can list every item you have in mind for weekly basis/monthly/quarterly/yearly so it does what Excel can do, but it is shared easily amongst all team members. The real time update is very useful as well as notifications and comments.
- It is web-based, so a lot easier than using an Excel and also you have the freedom to add key project management elements, like timeline, date, dependencies, current progress etc. The labels are much simpler to configure than Excel/Microsoft Project.
- When we finish a task, we put it to archived board or a section so we can still go back and reactivate if needed. It offers flexibility as time elapse. Also the dashboard gives a very visual presentation on the workload of each person. For management, it summaries key metrics.
- People outside of your organization may not be onboard. The message sent by default seems like social media message and some external people simply ignore it.
- There is not much training offered specifically to our users, so we work on figure out by yourself way. It would be nice they offer more training videos/tutorials, use cases. Maybe it is just me I am not aware of.
- It is simple to use but some people would still prefer doing things the old way, so maybe more integration with other systems would be appreciated by users.
So far, our team has been using it for close to a year, and we never had a downtime, or lost information.
The overall experience is very positive and reliable.
For some of the high-level management metrics/dashboards/reports, we do need some additional training if we could have the opportunity and time.
