We have used Monday.com for tracking the progress of our daily operations. Every member has more visibility of everybody's job. Thanks to Monday, we have been able to identify how we can collaborate for common tasks. Monday.com has also allowed us to identify potential problems and take action in a timely manner. Besides, my team has used Monday.com for following the performance of our OKRs. As a result, we have improved communication across departments and identified potential problems in our processes.

Pros

  • Follow cross-department tasks, their progress and how each member is contributing.
  • Balance workload in daily operations.

Cons

  • Some columns cannot be locked, so other members can delete them by mistake.
  • The dashboards crashes with other plugins.
  • "Updates" and "Info Boxes" confused me at the beginning. An explanation of each of these sections should be included.
Besides, its usability for task management; it is user-friendly with excellent design and graphics. It keeps the team motivated and it allowed the team to understand the importance of each team member. It is visual, giving a quick snapshot of projects and makes it easier to report on key business metrics.
My company is in China and trying to get in contact with customer support was not as easy as I thought. I had several problems trying to show the dashboards from Monday.com. It was clashing with other apps, plugins, and VPNs providers. The solution provided did not fix the problem. I had to find answers in blogs not related to Monday.com
Monday.com has been an excellent tool overall. It provides me all the features that I need for me to work with my team, even remotely. It has helped me to track my progress and achieve my goals in the company.
I also like that Monday.com can be accessed through mobiles and tables.

  • For tracking completion of projects and daily tasks.
  • To find bottlenecks and areas of improvement in the business process.
  • To divide and assign tasks from big projects or goals.

Less appropriate
  • For evaluating employee's performance based on the completion of tasks.
  • To measure the performance of KPI since this is too complex.
