Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

  • Little financial risk as we started with monthly subscriptions to see if it suits us.
  • Easy setup of project boards once templates are made.
  • Employees like to use the system as UI is friendly.
We are implementing monday.com in our production department for project planning, work load planning, task prioritisation and to provide clients insight into the progress of their order. It will also be used to give top level management an overall view of all projects, timelines and all related info and provide employees with information to show how they fit into production process.
  • The possibility of having customised views/presentations of a project's tasks.
  • Very flexible to change layouts and info with no programming knowledge.
  • Customisable automations to save manual work.
  • Attractive and pleasing UI.
  • We started with project planning for the production of mechanical machines but monday.com can be used for literally anything.
  • A fairly active community where even expert monday.com users hang out who are willing to provide some good tips to get your problems ironed out.
  • Although subtasks are available, they do not have the same functionalities as their parent tasks.
  • It is not always clear (to me) which order will be followed when several automations are triggered by a certain event.
  • Although the standard layout looks like an Excel spreadsheet, the "cell" information cannot be manipulated or used for calculations anywhere near as easily as in Excel.
  • When columns are made, they apply to all underlying groups of tasks.
  • If you need to limit editing/viewing access to some board members on individual tasks, you must upgrade to the MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE Enterprise version. In short small organisations are being deprived of some important functionalities because they are not financially capable of paying up...
The ease of use is exceptionally good. However since the customisation is easy it becomes important to get some expert advice in the beginning to help set up the boards so that you do not waste too much time going down the wrong route. The community is a good place to get preliminary insight in how to solve problems.
Every time I sent a question to support (15-20 times in the beginning) I received a response within a couple of hours.
In the three months I have used monday.com, I have not yet experienced any downtime worth speaking of.

Do you think monday.com delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with monday.com's feature set?

Yes

Did monday.com live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of monday.com go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy monday.com again?

Yes

Well suited to all types of workflows.

Since it is very easy to customise, it becomes difficult for first time users to decide on the best way to set the boards up.

>If you are only one-person team, you must still pay for at least 3 users.
