Overall Satisfaction with monday.com
- We reduce the need of coordination team calls, from 3 a week to one, a week after we started to use monday.com.
- We are able to manage up to 7 project/events or courses in the same week, when before it was impossible to manage more than 2 per week.
- It has reduced the miscommunication and the emails between departments, that end up being the main cause of delays on projects.
- It easy to set up any project, our team members used from simple to-do list for the everyday work, to more complex project that may require the interaction of other team members or departments.
- It has been great in terms of work load distribution, our team has a main task board where each one of our team members puts their ongoing task, so we always know who can take a little more work or who is working in really time consuming task and can't take anything else. This one in particular has improved the team mood also.
We have been using monday.com as a coordination tool between departments. Also to coordinate different tasks between the team. For example we used to coordinate all the tasks that need to happen before an online course, or an international event happens. monday.com allows us to have an easy way to check that the task is complete, and also communicate to the next person that needs to complete the task if the previous one is done, without the need of call or emails, and they get the notification on their phones, thanks to the app. Additionally, we use it a lot to plan projects, to have all the information of that particular project in the same place. Thanks to the links, the documents, you can create a board for each project and have the collaboration of the team members.
Pros
- Organize tasks.
- Have all information related to a project in one place.
- Planning strategies and task to follow to complete an objective.
- Organize and coordinate work among different departments.
- Makes it easy to control that each party has completed their task, without the need of everyday calls.
Cons
- Subgroups, currently you can move the pulses you put in one subgroup, like you can do in main groups.
- Notification. Some time you get a notification when someone assigns you a pulse or a task, then when they write something. It would be nice to get one email with all the information, especially when the updates are too close. Otherwise you end up with 5 emails for the same topic due to updates that happen within an hour.
- Allow colour coding on group pulses, as sometimes we need to highlight a topic/task between a long list of task, and be able to highlight the line were it is it would be great.
monday.com has been a great tool. We work with different departments, and with a software company, with monday.com we have been able to coordinate the need of this different departments and also to transfer that to our software company with no delays. It's been a great tool also to coordinate work among our teams, due to the different time zones it is complicated to find time to have a call to coordinate tasks, but with monday.com it's easy: the project director can set a board with the tasks to complete and assign the team members while they are sleeping, they can see the to-do's for the day and have a short report on the same board at the end of the day, the project director can see the reports and know exactly were the team tasks are without the needs of calls.
For software, usually involves a lot of small tasks, having the chance to create groups with task and subgroups allow as to plan in detail what we need in each one of the modules, and we have a very accurate time frame, due to the due date, and the timeline.
