Overall Satisfaction with monday.com
Before using monday.com, my team was really disorganized and disunified. We all just had our personal to-do lists and assignments in Gmail. It was very easy for projects to get lost and there wasn't really any accountability or unifying team vision. Monday has been a great space to not only see what everyone on the team is working on, but to create group projects, make plans, keep records, and hold each other accountable with due dates and progress tracking.
- Team Organization/Accountability - Can see what everyone has on their plate, where they are at with a project, and add new projects when necessary.
- Highly customizable workspaces - There are table items for EVERYTHING. Status updates, URLs, Due dates, Hour of the day, text fields, number fields, user tagging, and so much more. You can organize or track ANYTHING in any way that makes sense to you.
- Automations - Can create automations to remind people of tasks (in program and through integrations with other software such as Slack), can automatically make tasks populate, and endless other configurations and dependencies.
- You can tag people when they aren't part of a board, which means they won't see the update. It would be good for there to either be a warning that the person you're tagging isn't on the board or an automatic pop up asking if you'd like to add them to the board so they can see your update.
- The mobile app does not update in real time with the web version. It is a real struggle to constantly have them out of sync, such that I tend to avoid using the app unless I know a specific project that I want to look up and refresh my memory about. Trying to use the My Work section is basically useless on mobile because you'll have projects you completed days ago showing up as if you never began them.
- Personally, I feel like I've been easily getting at least 10x-20x the number of projects done since using Monday. Going from having to keep track of assignments via marking emails as unread to tracking projects in monday.com has SUPERCHARGED the way I work.
- It has brought my team together into a cohesive whole. Being able to tag each other in project updates, create new projects and assign them to each other, and see where everyone is at on their tasks has saved so much time emailing/messaging people and helped us each appreciate what everyone else contributes more. We're communicating way better!
- Being able to search for documents and project updates has made my work more efficient. I no longer have to ask someone to email me a graphic or document - I can simply search for the related task in monday.com and grab what I need!
On the whole, monday.com has been an incredibly reliable platform. I can think of only maybe once or twice that the website froze up into an endless "loading" circle. But this issue resolved itself in under an hour both times, so it was not a terrible inconvenience. Overall, my experience on monday.com has been terrific and I enjoy using their service each day.
