Overall Satisfaction with N-able Take Control

We use N-able to take control of the computers remotely. This can be either inside or outside of our network infrastructure. N-able is mostly used by our IT department as a way of support of our end users and is installed by default on all of our domain-joined computers.
  • Remote control
  • Ease of use
  • Stability
  • Computer often un-registers for no reason
  • Scripting the agent has only a 50% success rate
  • Network probes necessary
  • Time gain in supporting end users
  • No transport needed to end users
  • SolarWinds Dameware Remote Everywhere (DRE)
In my previous job we used Dameware which was a very good tool but lacked the managing capabilities of N-able. It has been a few years, so maybe Dameware has improved in that regard.

Do you think N-able Take Control delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with N-able Take Control's feature set?

Yes

Did N-able Take Control live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of N-able Take Control go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy N-able Take Control again?

No

N-able is perfectly suited for an IT department and especially for the helpdesk, but seems a bit too expensive for home use.
