Overall Satisfaction with NAKIVO Backup & Replication

After a client acquired a Synology NAS, we learned about Nakivo's product, which in addition to offering us everything that Veeam offered, was cheaper and we could run it from the NAS itself, where we planned to store the information. This meant eliminating a server with the costs that this entails (operating system and protection licenses, electricity consumption, etc.). In addition to being cheaper, it simplified production start-up and management because it was very intuitive. So far, we have not suffered any loss of information, which is the most critical aspect of this service. The constant development and continuous improvements of the product are also attractive to us. In short, Nakivo is a Backup utility that can compete perfectly with the best-known applications deployed in large multinationals (you have to check compatibility with the infrastructure), but also, thanks to its prices, it is affordable for any type of business; both small and medium-sized companies, putting within reach of an SME, the security with which any multinational could work.

Another important factor is its compatibility with NAS devices, which makes deployment greatly simplified.

Do you think NAKIVO Backup & Replication delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with NAKIVO Backup & Replication's feature set?

Yes

Did NAKIVO Backup & Replication live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of NAKIVO Backup & Replication go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy NAKIVO Backup & Replication again?

Yes

I have only tested it on small or medium clients and with disk storage pools. I can't say how it would work with tape robots or virtual libraries. In the installations carried out in PYMES, the result so far has always been satisfactory. In the installations carried out in SMEs, the result so far has always been satisfactory. In addition, the inclusion of new features such as Bare metal restore, increase the value of the product continuously

Using NAKIVO Backup & Replication

5 - Some are users and others are technical profiles such as administrators. The management is carried out by computer technicians, but copies are made of both the servers and the client positions of the users, so in the end it is used by every company. In the event that a user requires a recovery, he requests it from the computer technician.
2 - No particular skill is necessary. Any microcomputer technician can learn how to manage Nakivo in a single day. It is easy to deploy the solution on NAS systems or Windows / Linux servers and manage copies and restore from the control panel accessible by HTTPS. Even retrieving the Nakivo server configuration is easy, as it can be maintained in all defined repositories.
