Overall Satisfaction with .NET
.NET is currently being used by our Development Team. Our team produces software by combining their code with the .NET framework. Its usage depends on the kind of project that we are working on. It has been used for creating web-based forms, web applications, and other web services. The most common languages being used are VB.Net and C.
- Faster development has reduced the cost of not meeting deadlines.
- Creating web-based tools that can support automation. This has always brought positive ROIs.
- Cost of development is one time. The only reoccurring cost is is maintenance.
- Availability of reusable components and, hence, saving more time and money.
- Easy to deploy.
When it comes to competition, .NET performs better. .NET allows developers to write all sorts of apps. It is compatible with SQL Server. It is scalable, secure, and not restricted to one type of language. Its price is a hurdle. That is why many developers have been using open source tools like Node.js.
Minimal support is required from the product team, as Microsoft .NET has a great community platform where users can post their problems and also get the solutions to those problems. It is very rare that a solution can not be found. That is when it becomes necessary to get in touch with the Support Team and, in those cases, the solution is provided.
.NET is very popular among developers. It is easy to use and compatible with Microsoft products. It can be used to develop almost any kind of app including 2D and 3D games. There are numerous libraries to choose from and there are close to around 50 languages to choose from in the .NET framework.
Do you think .NET delivers good value for the price?
Are you happy with .NET's feature set?
Did .NET live up to sales and marketing promises?
Did implementation of .NET go as expected?
Would you buy .NET again?
.NET provides a scalable environment to meet the growing needs of any business. It can be used on multiple platforms. Whether we need to expand the desktop or mobile app to other operating systems or use it in any specific engineering case, the cross-platform need is satisfied. Enterprise-wide use, i.e. both public and private enterprise products.
