Overall Satisfaction with Network for Good

We have been using Network for Good for around 6 months to help streamline development efforts at our non-profit. Last year, my team of one grew to two and I knew I could no longer track our development efforts and donor relationships through my make-shift Excel file. We started seeking out a development platform and landed on Network for Good. Through the platform, we have been able to streamline our donor relations and thank our donors in new and creative ways. We have also been able to pull more data and stats on things we were manually tracking before such as donor retention. The platform has given us many tools to make our jobs easier, and the internal tracking of what's been done helps my team stay on track and communicate with ease.
  • Provides a high-quality platform for a reasonable price
  • Supplies your organization with all the bells and whistles of a robust development system, while maintaining a user-friendly interface
  • Allows for ease of communication and tracking between team members
  • Provides tech support and answers questions in a timely manner
  • Ease of extra data transfer. The fields that they have in the system were easily transferred, but the "special" fields we have created from the prior tracking system that we still find useful had to be manually entered. This may have been solved if we caught it at an early time with more support during our initial data transfer.
  • Data tracking and reporting—you are able to run reports and filter any data in the system, including a large list of preset filters and the ability to customize your own. From this, we've been able to track things that are important to us, such as how many board members have donated this fiscal year.
  • Lifetime total gifts for a donor—this has allowed us to make a targeted effort about who we are considering for legacy gifts and who we need to be focusing our efforts on.
  • Communication tools to thank donors and communicate with supporters—we have loved utilizing all of the different tools the platform has available. We have been able to thank donors via text, video message email, and text, and using thank you letters we have created. This has been very helpful in streamlining our communication with donors. We also love that it then marks the donor as acknowledged for your records. All of these actions are tracked in a running log of every action taken in the donor's record, making for seamless communication across team members.
  • Decrease in turnaround time to get donation thank yous out
  • Increase in data collected on donors through NFG created donation pages
  • Increase in reporting available for us to share tangible information with our board and development committee
I used DonorPerfect 4-to 5 years ago at a non-profit I was at at the time. For our purposes, it met our needs. I will say that I would pick Network for Good over DonorPerfect in a heartbeat if given the chance now. The system is much more robust and I find the data tracking to be much richer.

Network for Good is perfect for small to mid-size non-profits. Working at an organization that employs around 115 but only has an administrative team of 15, this system is a great fit for us. We only have 3 staff members who have access to the system currently as that is all that is needed. I am the primary user and it meets all of our needs for a development platform. I'm not sure if the platform would have everything a large, nationwide non-profit would need to support its development needs. But for a majority of non-profits out there, this system is the perfect match due to its usability and price point.
