Overall Satisfaction with Newswire

My current business and previous businesses have used PR Newswire to distribute company news, awards, or leadership changes. While it's not always the most effective channel for inbound traffic, it certainly does have reach. After about 48 hours post-publication, I am often able to find a reputable and larger-scale news outlet that mentions my business. Then, I am able to use the larger outlet to share within my own channels. I would give newswire an 8/10 because it doesn't drive as much traffic as I would like, but the system itself is very easy to use.
  • Quick distribution
  • Easy upload/editing system
  • Pretty decent support
  • The system is easy but is somewhat dated
  • Minor increase in brand awareness
  • Minor increase to inbound traffic
The system is very easy to use. Even though it's not necessarily modern, they do make it pretty easy to import context, make edits, upload images, and set up your press release. They even give you the option to preview and review your publication. Upon publication, after a little bit of time, you still have the ability to make minor edits. It's extremely functional.

Would you buy Newswire again?

Yes

Newswire is my go-to platform for press releases. It's utilitarian, easy to use, and gets the job done. It's been around the block, so Newswire definitely has a strong and trusted network of media brands. The cost for a small press release is pretty reasonable for its distribution level. Most of the time, I can rely on the fact that a relatively well-known national or a local station will pick up our news digitally, though it doesn't always receive inbound traffic I wish it would. I rely on Newswire to get my message out there, so if the topic is strong enough, traditional press releases are still great outlets.
