Overall Satisfaction with NEXGEN Asset Management

We use NEXGEN Asset Management on a daily basis to solve our work order and asset management challenges. NEXGEN Asset Management manages both horizontal and vertical assets throughout our enterprise. Our staff is in contact with up to 200 assets per day and NEXGEN Asset Management allows us to track costs, maintenance tasks, and history both in the field and the office.

  • Work Order management allows close tracking of assets and resources
  • The Asset Management module provides insight into future expenditures and replacement options
  • Better beta testing before the roll out of updated software versions would help reduce bug reports and updates
  • Having access to asset history in the field reduces downtime greatly
  • The ability to identify high risk assets allows us to focus our work more efficiently
The mobile platform can be slow to load if the cellular connection is sketchy. The user interface displays just enough information without overloading the screen with unnecessary information.
NEXGEN Asset Management is more user-friendly, intuitive, and easy to use. NEXGEN Asset Management integrates with GIS and CCTV which Accela could not do.

The common interface between modules reduces confusion and training demands. Once the staff is trained on one module the rest of the modules are so similar they do not require extensive training. I can get staff trained up and using the system with less than 1 hour of training.
