Overall Satisfaction with Nintex Workflow Platform
Nintex forms is utilized by many departments across our organization. It solves various problems ranging from simply improving UI from a traditional SharePoint forms to retrieving data seamlessly from an external data source. Forms can quickly be created and styled to match corporate branding policies. The biggest benefit from Nintex forms is eliminating the need for InfoPath or custom webparts. Nintex is much quicker and easier to implement across sites or farms.
- Querying external data sources.
- Quickly generate custom forms for list or libraries.
- Easily create rules that can autofill forms with minimal to little coding experience.
- Dependent on JavaScript to get the most out of the form. A form can be made without JS, but to take it to the next level requires a somewhat knowledgeable programmer.
- Nintex forms is used in conjunction with Nintex workflow to maximize ROI in our organization. When used in conjunction with Nintex WF we have created time saving business processes that have improved operating efficiency. We have many processes that have been optimized by nintex, but one specific business process improvement has paid for Nintex's cost alone.
- infopath, K2 smartforms and SharePoint Designer
We trialed K2 but thought the interface and features did not stack up to Nintex. Nintex was easier to learn and easier to master than utilizing K2. I am not involved in pricing decisions so I cannot compare cost to the products. Nintex is much easier to operate than InfoPath and SharePoint Designer.
