Nintex Workflow for Sharepoint

Overall Satisfaction with Nintex Platform

We use the platform to support a variety of business processes across the enterprise. Workflows and forms are used for change management processes, incident report, and inspection processes.

Pros

  • Simple to build an application using forms designer and workflow engine.
  • Complex workflows with many steps.
  • Drop down dialogue boxes.

Cons

  • Simple connections to backend DBs.
  • Simplified software upgrades.
  • Multi-lingual capabilities.
  • Business process automation has been very beneficial.
  • Software upgrades are difficult.
We use Nintex as our on-prem SharePoint environment. We only plan on using Nintex on SharePoint. We are deploying O365 and planning to put SharePoint online and would expect a seamless/painless transition on features and licensing models.
A large part of our user base uses Nintext platform for inspection processes and incident management.
We have used Notes/Domino workflow engine in the past and see Nintex platform has matched and exceeded the capabilities.
Straight forward workflows with simple radio and drop down boxes, text boxes. Dragging and dropping files into the forms can be a more involved process. Software upgrades have been difficult which has also created conflicts with other SharePoint applications. Multi-lingual forms create some challenges.
