Overall Satisfaction with Nutanix AOS

AOS is run on all our Nutanix nodes. It's being used across our entire organization. It helps us integrate Nutanix seamlessly with our infrastructure goals and allows us to utilize encryption with our data at rest.

Nutanix support is, hands down, some of the best support I've ever experienced. All their support technicians are extremely well versed in their product and it's always a pleasure to go through a support call.

I was not part of the initial discussions at my current job as to why they went and used Nutanix. For my previous job, we were looking for something that would eventually replace VMWare. At first, Nutanix was not a good replacement. But over the past three years, they have developed a product that is a legit competitor with VMWare in terms of performance, price, and simplicity.
Learning the product is simple. The interface could be cleaned up a bit and made to have more logical sense, but all in all, it's an easy product to manage and learn. Online resources are abundant and the Nutanix education portal does a fantastic job explaining the product.
Fantastic performance
Nutanix AOS is well suited because it works and works extremely well. It doesn't take long to set up and is immediately available and easily expandable. Problem is that most backup solutions don't integrate well with it and a lot of them are slow on integration. It will eventually get better, but Nutanix really doesn't want to open up and allow other places to backup.
