Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Dyn Managed DNS

DynDNS is used for our production level external DNS solution. We rely on DynDNS to handle all production load. DynDNS has many of the features required for various projects.

Pros

  • DynDNS has MFA
  • DynDNS also has API endpoints to integrate with command line tasks
  • DynDNS has reports to show domain usage

Cons

  • Reports could have more resolution, per domain.
  • DynDNS helped us analyze our ROI via the reports, and adjusting our TTL to better our ROI.
Did not have to engage the Dyn support team, as all the documentation was sufficient.
Online Dyn portal allows us to modify all facets of the domain.
The API endpoint helps us automate full site failover during our disaster recovery exercise.
