Overall Satisfaction with OutSystems

It started small and now is used more throughout the complete organization, and with our customers and partners. It solves the need in time to market, and adapts to the changing environment. We are currently at the point of deciding to go full speed with OutSystems and build several components covering complete business processes and replacing legacy and technical debt systems.
  • Fast time to market.
  • Flexible.
  • Scalability.
  • A better user experience, and easier to work with.
  • It's easy to understand due to the modeling part.
  • License model.
  • Integrations with ie Kafka streams.
  • We're currently in the research of TCO (licenses, development costs).
  • ROI is also based on business cases. We see we can deliver faster and with more flexibility.
  • It is an investment, but by delivering faster and more accurately, you get more value sooner.
We did two analyses of a POC of a week, comparing OutSystems and Mendix. From our point of view, OutSystems was a better fit for bigger enterprises, and IT can still keep an eye on a possible wide growth of new applications and solutions. After this POC, we also had a look at Betty Blocks, which wasn't mature enough.
In becoming bigger, the support encountered several growing pains, but we've seen amelioration (also by involving a customer engagement manager, more direct lines with OutSystems, and better contact with partner Noesis). Sometimes growing goes fast and the organization needs to adapt to the new world. New markets are conquered, but others still need to grow.

Do you think OutSystems delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with OutSystems's feature set?

Yes

Did OutSystems live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of OutSystems go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy OutSystems again?

Yes

We started to use it to work out POC, then by supporting our entire business processes, and we will start replacing legacy systems (starting with small bits and bites). From my point of view, the complete system is well supported. OutSystems isn't the only system for creating and building POC. Therefore, comparatively, it is too expensive.
