Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use PandaDoc to sign service level agreements with partner companies. It allows us to easily bring on new business partners and cover the scope of our service as well as the terms for payment and legal guidelines. The forwarding function and signing order are some excellent features that really help us get the document to the right signing parties in the right order. The expiration function also helps us control the length we leave a document open.

Pros and Cons

Pros

The template and design process is easy and intuitive to use.
The ability for a signer to forward the file for signature is excellent.

Cons

Can't honestly think of functionality I'd add - It really does work well for my purposes.

Return on Investment

Faster close rates due to the agreement being forwarded to the right signer.
Expiration date can prompt faster adoption.

Document Creation

Reusable templates, ease of adding signers via email, ease of use by our partner companies have all made our document process go smoothly. The tracking process also provides great clarity on when and where all parties are in the process. It can be easy to create a template and then just personalize the tokens. A document can be sent in a few minutes!

Streamlining Communication

Real-time notifications are one of my favorite features. Most of my partner companies haven't really adopted the communication panels as much. I can't really speak to the mobile-friendly aspect either. It's possible some of my partner companies have used this, but I haven't gotten specific feedback on that functionality.

Professional Quality

Highly polished and professional product. The interface, ability to put a custom message with the document, the forwarding. All of it is simple, clear, and focused. This makes the document signing process clean and efficient. In a business setting, you want the document to be as easy to use and complete as possible!

Alternatives Considered

DocuSign

I have used DocuSign quite a bit - it doesn't have nearly the depth or functionality. It is far less user-friendly. There are password processes that make it difficult on the user end. Creating documents is a chore. There really is no comparison in my book. I can't speak to other products, but PandaDoc simply checks all the boxes for my team!

Likelihood to Recommend

Pandadoc works well for signing simple agreements between business parties. It isn't ideal for a situation where lots of redlining or amendments need to be made by either party. So a basic agreement that doesn't require back and forth or edits is best. In situations where I've had legal language or additions requested it's required a new file to be uploaded multiple times. This is the exception though - as the bulk of my work is in the standard format and it's a quick easy mechanism for myself and the partner companies I work with.
