Overall Satisfaction with Pardot Marketing Automation
We are using Pardot for our B2B software product. We use it both for acquisition and to promote product use among our existing clients. We have multiple audiences with a specific messaging needs in each segment so we use Pardot to help us manage the wide variety of communications. Pardot allows our sales team to quickly see which leads are active and potentially interested and focus on those leads on a daily basis.
Pros
- Dynamic lists- Easy to create. Always clean and accurate
- Drip programs- So simple to develop.
- Automation rules-allow you to add tags, add people to lists based on certain behavior etc
- Tracks and notifies you of visitors to your website
- Email template design interface is simple to learn and use.
- Webinar interconnection with Readytalk, Gotowebinar etc. Works great and allows you to track webinar visitors from first sign up right in Pardot
Cons
- Reporting. Reporting in Pardot is light. Better to use its free plugin GoodData or your linked CRM (Salesforce or Netsuite). I have to do a lot of exporting and compiling reports into an excel dashboard. Drips and "list" emails are reported in separate places so you have to combine manually.
- Pardot has allowed us to increase lead conversion by 58%.
- Pardot has allowed us to save on customer service hires by educating our customers through an automated drip program.
Pardot is far superior to Eloqua. Eloqua is extremely difficult to use and often created flawed lists and data for our team due to the difficulty they had learning to use it "properly". I cannot think of a single feature Eloqua had that Pardot does not. It's a no brainer.
Pardot does not have the ability to create PURLs like Easypurl. If you need to create PURLs this is not the program for you.
