Paylocity is top of the line technology for bottom of the barrel cost.
Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
Paylocity has been a lifesaver for our company. We recently came our of a PEO relationship with ADP and it is so much better. We have so much more control over our day to day activities. Our employees are able to take control of their own data. Employees actually use the software and product where before it was just a constant struggle to get them to complete tasks. Now that we have employees who are mainly off site it is an easy way to communicate with them. The expense side of this has been great so far and we are on the verge of releasing it to the rest of our company which will give us cost savings and increase our accuracy as well as improve our processes. Overall we are very happy with our decision to move to Paylocity and it has been great partnering with them so far for our organization.
Pros
- Customer Service - They are very prompt in reaching out to you
- Accuracy - We are very happy with the transition particularly coming from a not some friendly ADP that made it difficult to pull our data.
- New Products - They are always looking for ways to improve their products to make them more useful.
Cons
- Sales Implementation - Our sales rep was not great with answering questions, and went rogue and ghosted us. Our 2nd rep was amazing but it was unfortunate to work with someone who did not know the product capabilities
- G/L - The team that works with programming on the G/L set up was not that prompt with responses but we were able to get our client success person to help cover the gap.
- No Emails - Any person you work with specifically is not able to be reached directly unless they call you which is frustrating sometimes so that I do not need to go back through the entire story with a new person.

Being that I am not in the office everyday, Paylocity has made this position far easier to work through. It is very user friendly and the training and support you get from most features has been great. The ability to always be looking forward instead of constantly be reactionary has been amazing in my opinion.
In all honesty we have not used the community feature as often as we probably should. We made the transition in January and as we work through various other concrete issues, I hope to make more use of surveys and community in the future. We have used the impressions feature really very little and really just to test it. I can see the value it could add to the organizations but we are still working through some feature implementations like expense management so we will focus on that for now and those items in the near future.
Paylocity was far and above much better suited for our organization. The cost structure was much lower and the features were much better thought out. I have used the majority of the vendors we demoed and Paylocity in all honesty blew them out of the water. We are very happy with our decision so far.
