Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We use Paylocity for recruitment, onboarding, payroll, scheduling and timecard services. This product addresses our need for streamlined HR services in an agency where we don't have the money or bandwidth to handle these services on our own. This product allows us to limit the time we spend on HR, payroll and the like to a few hours a week, rather than it being a full-time job.
Pros
- makes onboarding new employees, including setting up tax documents and verifying eligibility very easy.
- Has a good customer service interface that makes mistakes easy to fix.
- Has a robust learning platform that one can use at their own pace.
Cons
- For small companies, the account management happens as a call-center team, rather than a dedicated manager. The knowledge of the call center team members is very uneven, and sometimes just incorrect.
- The report interface is overwhelming if you don't know what you are looking for to begin with. Having categories from which to choose would be helpful, set up in a visual, window style way.
- Call center account managers are often looking up things that I could look up on my own - and I am supposed to rely on them for help?
The tools Paylocity provides are the only way we could begin to manage the rapid growth we have experienced.
We are beginning to be better about using Community, peer recognition and surveys. We haven't tried Video yet. Using these tools has a modest effect of helping our employees feel more connected to the company.
