Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

I conduct payroll within Paylocity. I really enjoy the product and have minimal issues with it. Possibly could be better with the notifications when we have a demographic change/new onboarding person, but aside from that, minimal problems.

Pros

  • Tax Verification - I use this feature with all new hires. It's amazing. It tells me what county they reside in and their tax rates.
  • The payroll hold features explaining potential problems BEFORE I can submit payroll.
  • Very user friendly in my opinion.

Cons

  • I don't have a lot, as I said; maybe better notifications when we do have a new hire in the different contractor portal. It doesn't notify especially well.
  • I think the employee recognition piece in the community part is really nice. Employees like to be appreciated.
It made things much easier for me! The termed employees have pro-rated salary options that are easy to click. You can block certain deductions if needed and easily pro-rate as well.
I love this part. We really try to take advantage of this as best we can and encourage others to acknowledge their peers.

I don't have a lot of experience to compare to other systems, but I find Paylocity very user-friendly and I do love the access to different reports, the tax verification feature, and just the general payroll tabs needed to conduct payroll.
