Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

Paylocity was implemented to assist our growing company in streamlining many HR functions due to having a smaller HR team.
  • Onboarding feature is user friendly and makes it easy for employees to onboard
  • The time off feature is TERRIBLE in my experience. For 6 months now we have not ever had correct PTO balances shown for any of our employees. This is an extremely important benefit to our team and it would be nice for them to be able to see the amount of hours they actually have available to use when planning a trip and to avoid confusion. Also, the time off is linked to payroll and we have had many complications with employees receiving the correct pay for time off since the balances are always incorrect.
  • Customer service is awful in my opinion. You can never reach the same person who was assisting you and each time you need assistance they do not help you they give you an article on how to 'fix' the issue. I am not a software developer and do not have the time to learn the inner workings of this system. It would be nice to speak to someone instead of just going back and forth via email about urgent issues.
  • System glitches occur so frequently and no one even the specialists they escalate the issue to gets back to you with a solution on how they plan to prevent the issue from continuously occurring. The only response we hear is that it will take the specialists a few months to figure it out.
  • Negative impact on ROI with the amount of time our team has to dedicate to fixing all the system glitches.
Again, it has not made things easier, it has created more work for my team. At this point we feel like the maintenance team upkeeping a broken system.

This system has made the day to day job harder instead of simplifying basic tasks as an HRIS is supposed to.
