Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We implemented Paylocity to manage our US payroll, benefits admin, payroll tax services, timekeeping, expense management, and flexible spending offering. Paylocity allowed us to manage all of our US workforce in one system, connected well with our HRIS system, and helped ensure compliance related to employment filings and reporting.
  • Manage the employee onboarding process
  • Timekeeping
  • Payroll
  • Expense management lacks the ability for teams in other countries to be approvers
  • Workflow integrations and data segregation for HR Only Users is complicated
  • Global capabilities are limited
  • Improved efficiency of compliance reporting
  • Reduced time spent on payroll.
Unfortunately, we haven't seen the return on investment with Paylocity from an HR perspective due to the lack of utilization to manage our global workforce. The tool itself has helped our payroll team manage their activities but has added incremental work to HR due to the need to manage multiple systems.
We do not utilize any of these tools within Paylocity as they are duplicative with our Performance Management System.
Paylocity was selected as our payroll vendor due to the tight-knit integration with our benefits admin tools and our HRIS/onboarding system. When compared to other ADPs, it is more modern and user-friendly. When compared to Dayforce and UKG it lags behind in power.

Do you think Paylocity delivers good value for the price?

Are you happy with Paylocity's feature set?

Yes

Did Paylocity live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Paylocity go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Paylocity again?

No

Paylocity has robust features to manage HR and payroll for Domestic companies. If your organization is US Based, this software can meet your needs for onboarding, HRIS, Payroll, Compliance, Ben Admin, Expense Reporting, and Tax. If you have a globally distributed organization, many of the features that make Paylocity attractive for HR are not usable degrading it to more of a robust payroll tool.
