Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity as our main payroll software and HR software to keep track of all the documents. Paylocity allows payroll to be simplified and takes over making the payroll tax payments.

  • support - some people when calling Paylocity do not seem very knowledgeable.
  • Have a more customizable option like check layouts, pay stubs, and user preferences for notifications.
  • More report options.
  • Reduce busy work of manually having to record payroll check.
  • Saves time not having to schedule payroll tax payments and prepare quarterly payroll.
  • Easy access for employees to view pay stubs and benefit balances.
One of our departments uses scheduling in Paylocity, and it has made a positive impact. Employees are allowed to shift swap and view their schedule from anywhere instead of only seeing it on the work server. Yearend payroll and quarterly payroll preparation done by Paylocity frees up a lot of extra time.
Currently, our employees do not use these features. We have only been using Paylocity for 6 months, so I would hope we will eventually use these features once we are more comfortable working in Paylocity.

Paylocity, from a price point is well suited for medium-sized companies and large companies. I would not recommend it for a small business.
