Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity for HR & Payroll and Benefits Management. As a department that is trying to go paperless and do more and more electronically, the HR&Payroll module is where we implement onboarding, time-off tracking, and pay. Benefits manages all our benefit needs and enrollment. Having this feature makes annual Open Enrollment process much easier.

Paylocity has made the onboarding process easy and makes annual open enrollment effective and efficient. Time-off tracking is easy and user-friendly, as well as approvals for time-off. Reporting could be streamlined and much more simple. Currently it's very complicated and sometimes difficult to pull in the exact information needed for the project at hand.
We use Community in Paylocity and enjoy it. However, it's been a process trying to get all our employees engaged in using it also. We use Community for announcements, peer recognition, celebrations, and as a way to communicate with our staff and employees on important matters. I personally use it for benefit announcements, posting user guides, and other important information pertaining to benefits.
Paylocity is much more user-friendly.

Paylocity does many things well. Such as HR&Payroll, time-off tracking, paystubs, W-2's availability, and employee documents are great features to have as well as the mobile app for users. There are areas that could be improved. Creating a connection between the HR&Payroll side to the Benefits module side would be very helpful. When calling our account managers it's frustrating that HR & Payroll don't have access to the benefits side, and benefits account manager does not have access to HR & Payroll. These two should be connected and interact with each other.

Using Paylocity

500 - Self-service portal, and our administrators use Paylocity for an HR database, Payroll and accounting, Benefits management, recruiting, data insights and reporting.
2 - Support for Paylocity requires the account manager to be knowledgeable about all the ins and outs of Paylocity and to know user tricks and tips of making Paylocity sing and dance.

We gave an 8 rating because I believe there are simple improvements Paylocity could make that would make a world of difference in an admins every day work world. We will probably renew because we are already familiar with Paylocity and how it works. It would a huge change to bring in a different HR & Payroll system at this point.

Paylocity Support

Most of the time our Paylocity account managers are amazing to work with. They go above and beyond to be available for us when we have questions and they usually know the answers. They are like a Paylocity internal encyclopedia. However, there have been a couple of Paylocity customer service reps I have spoken with that were rude and unhelpful. But I give a shout out to our HR & Payroll, and Benefits account managers for the excellent service.

Yes - Most of the time, issues are resolved fairly quickly. There have been a few instances where the issues remained unresolved even a week or two later.
Our Benefits Manager is excellent at explaining things to me when I'm having a hard time understanding what's happening in Paylocity and how to make it work. He answers my emails very quickly and is usually quick to return my phone calls as soon as he is able. Even when he was in the midst of a hurricane in his city, he took the time to speak with me by phone and help resolve my issue.
