Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We use Paylocity as our entire HRIS. It does all of our payroll, recruiting, onboarding, employee files, performance reviews, etc.
Pros
- Data insights - accumulating all the data inside of their data insights tab is very helpful and efficient.
- Self-service portal - user-friendly software is easy to navigate for the average employee
- Onboarding - customizable onboarding events for different positions that are easy to change as needed
Cons
- Recruiting - the recruiting functionality of Paylocity could be improved in my opinion. I would love to see the ability to assign recruiters to candidates rather than jobs. I would also like the ability to tag to notify hiring managers or recruiters inside of the notes on the candidate so they get a notification on that note.
- Tax reporting - we have had some major issues with our taxes not being reported properly in payroll for quarterly tax reports
- Reduce manual data entry and duplicative work across multiple systems
It has drastically reduced our labor hours spent on manually entering in data into multiple systems.
We are still in the process of adopting and implementing the engagement portion of the system.
There are pros & cons with paychex vs Paylocity. I feel like overall, Paylocity is a better whole product for what we need.
