Overall Satisfaction with PayPal Here

We use PayPal Here to instantly and easily collect donations by credit card from our supporters. We have found PayPal Here very useful at our fundraising events and other community events where people may want to make a donation with a credit card. We have also used PayPal Here to sell raffle tickets and auction items.

Pros

  • PayPal is a trusted brand so people are comfortable using PayPal Here to make donations.
  • The PayPal Here app is very easy to navigate.
  • The PayPal Here card reader works very well and is small, which makes it convenient to use on the go.

Cons

  • The receipt that people receive for a donation made through PayPal Here isn't easily edited/adjusted. I would like to add our branding and specific text to it.
  • Donations at fundraising events have increased significantly since we started using PayPal Here. Our supporters love how easy it is to use.
  • Because donors receive a donation receipt from PayPal, we have saved time by not generating receipts for donors.
Ultimately we selected PayPal Here because PayPal is such a trusted and well-known name, because of the easy-to-navigate user interface, because the card reader was inexpensive but performs well, and because the organization was already using PayPal to collect donations through our website. Using PayPal Here to collect mobile credit card donations was an easy choice!
I have not needed to use support for PayPal Here. The PayPal interface is very easy to navigate and we have not had any problems. When I have had questions, I have easily found answers on the PayPal website.

If another nonprofit asked me if PayPal Here is good for collecting credit card donations through mobile devices, I would say that it absolutely is. Whether at a big fundraising event or a small gathering, PayPal Here has met our needs very well. All one needs is a device with the PayPal Here app and the card reader. So easy!
