Overall Satisfaction with Planful (formerly Host Analytics)

Our organization uses Planful (formerly Host Analytics) to consolidate 60+ entities Trial Balances on a monthly basis. We also use the system to complete our Annual Operating Budget.

  • Spotlight XL can be glitchy/finicky
  • Our users never seem to be able to reset their passwords using the Forgot Password link, so a system admin has to send the reset e-mails
  • Planning seems to run slowly in Microsoft Explorer vs. Google Chrome
Our team has been able to leverage Box.com to run Data Load Rules overnight using the Cloud Scheduler feature within Planful. This has eliminated the need to manually go into Planful and upload each of our agency's trial balance information each month.
It's been relatively easy to build new reports within Planful. Occasionally I run into issues with formatting row sets/column sets depending on which one takes precedence, but other than that report building is pretty simple.
It's pretty easy for financial professionals to self-serve within Planful.
Planful (formerly Host Analytics) is very user friendly and easy to navigate and use for any person in the organization.
Microsoft Office 2016 (discontinued), Polycom Trio, QuickBooks Online
Planful (formerly Host Analytics) is well suited for Consolidation purposes. The finance team uses the system it to quickly consolidate 60+ entity trial balances each month and report monthly financial results to our management team.
