Overall Satisfaction with Planview Projectplace
Projectplace is being used across multiple divisions and global-operating companies to manage our R&D projects.
Pros
- Document storage.
- Kanban boards.
- Conversations.
Cons
- Projectplace completion of tasks has to be closed on multiple levels and don't automatically close the task in PPM Pro.
- Add a "due this month" option in Boards, sorting by the due date. I would like to see not only what is overdue and due in the next two weeks.
- Finished tasks still sort as overdue on the boards even though they are finished.
- Ease of use.
- Clear understanding/accountability for project teams.
- Use as a stand up tool for project meetings.
Do you think Planview ProjectPlace delivers good value for the price?
Not sure
Are you happy with Planview ProjectPlace's feature set?
Yes
Did Planview ProjectPlace live up to sales and marketing promises?
Yes
Did implementation of Planview ProjectPlace go as expected?
No
Would you buy Planview ProjectPlace again?
Yes
Projectplace has many similar features in terms of conversations, document storage, and timesheet tracking. However, I think where it offers improved performance is in use of Kanban boards to promote more agile project environments over a waterfall type environment. I also enjoy the analytics of Projectplace where I can generate specific boards as overview charts, project overview stats, etc.
