Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We primarily use Plutio for project management, but also occasionally use for invoicing. It is being used by the entire organization. We have found this incredibly helpful for project transparency with clients since it allows clients to both add/edit tasks, view progress, and even comment on specific tasks they have questions about or we need feedback on.

Pros and Cons

Multiple foundational business tools all in one system.
Great project management system.

Small issue, but when you open a task in order to close it you have to click the X icon, instead of just clicking in the background to close it.

Return on Investment

Saved time with emailing clients project updates-they can now view in Plutio.
Kept projects on track by having a singular place to look for tasks needed across all projects.

Alternatives Considered

Asana, Basecamp and Trello

Plutio is a great combination of many of the popular PM systems available, such as Trello, Asana, and Basecamp. Plutio really stands out by offering multiple tools that integrate directly with its project management system. For example, invoicing and time tracking integrate within the exact same system, which is not the case for any other "standard" PM system mentioned.

Support Rating

I have only needed to reach out for support once and got a quick response. There was an issue with the Mac app, but I knew it was in beta. Leo, the owner, was quick to reply thanking me for letting him know about the issue, that the Mac app is still in beta, and that I can use the web version in the meantime until the bug was fixed.

Plutio is great if you need to customize projects that have different groups of tasks, or even if you want a simple project management system. Instead of just having a typical kanban board to do, in progress, and done, you can split out multiple boards within the project using the kanban system. For example, you can have a board for development, board for marketing, and board for operations, each with the kanban style of to do, in progress, and done, within an individual project. This allows for more customization, as well as the organization in projects.
